The first compact, folding, easily carried, lightweight cutter specifically designed for removing disposable restraints! The use of disposable restraints has increased considerably; unfortunately, technology did not keep pace with restraint design. The majority of restraint cutters is actually an adaptation of existing tools and is not designed for the unique situations encountered by public safety professionals.
Enter the ASP Scarab Cutter, a tool that utilizes compound leverage for safely severing restraints — without presenting a weapon that can be used against the officer. The smooth, low profile design of the SCARAB locks in a closed position. To lock the SCARAB in position, close the handles around a split ring and push the extensions into the body of the cutter. The SCARAB can be easily carried in a uniform pocket or snapped onto a key ring or tactical bag.
